My dear brothers and sisters, we are living in a time when fear feels closer than ever. You step out of your home, and your heart tightens. You hear stories of kidnappers, bandits, armed robbers, and evil-doers who show no mercy. You think twice before traveling. You worry about your children, your spouse, and your parents. The question now is whether there is any dua to seek Allah’s protection from evil doer?
Yes, there’s a recommended dua to seek Allah’s protection from evil doer as mentioned by our Prophet in his sunnah. Our beloved Prophet ﷺ, who is a mercy to mankind, didn’t left anyhting unexplanined to us. But before we mention this dua, you should know that when you make dua against evil doer, you are not whispering words into the air. You are asking Allah to shield you from fear or evil.
This means that you place your trust on Allah alone. And Allah says:
“Is Allah not sufficient for His servant?”
(Surah Az-Zumar 39:36)
Whoever Allah is sufficient for, no one can overpower him. And whoever Allah is not sufficient for, no amount of protection will save him. No matter the evil, harm or danger, everything is by the permission of Allah. The Prophet ﷺ taught us that nothing moves, harms, or benefits except by Allah’s decree. This dua was reported by Abu Musa Al-Ashari (May Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), feared mischief from a people, he would supplicate the following dua:

اللّهُـمَّ إِنا نَجْـعَلُكَ في نُحـورِهِـم، وَنَعـوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شُرورِهـم

Allāhumma innā naj`aluka fī nuḥūrihim wa na`ūdhu bika min shurūrihim.

O Allah, we make You our shield against them, and take refuge in You from their evils.”
