My dear brothers and sisters, As-Salaamu ʿAlaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuh. If you are reading this, chances are that either you or someone close to you is suffering silently from the effects of black magic (sihr). Allah, out of His mercy, has given us clear guidance, proven remedies, and a straight path on how to treat black magic with Sidr leaves, and how to treat sihr with Sidr leaves correctly, without superstition or innovation.
People treat black magic with Sidr leaves, and also treat sihr with Sidr leaves for a long time. This is not folklore passed down by culture. This is a treatment supported by the Sunnah, practiced by the Salaf, and explained by the scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah. Before we discuss how to treat black magic with Sidr leaves, we must understand what Sidr truly is and why Islam gives it such weight.
The Sidr tree, also known as the Lote tree (Ziziphus), is not an ordinary plant in Islamic theology. It is a tree that Allah Himself honored in the Qur’an. Allah says:
“Near it is the Lote Tree of the utmost boundary (Sidrat al-Muntahā). Near it is the Garden of Refuge.” (Surah An-Najm 53:14–15)
This verse alone establishes the nobility and spiritual status of the Sidr tree. Sidrat al-Muntaha marks a boundary beyond which even the greatest of creation, Jibrīl (ʿalayhis-salām) could not pass. Scholars explained that Allah mentioning Sidr in this context is a sign of its honor and blessing.
But the relevance of Sidr is not only in the Hereafter. The Prophet ﷺ also connected Sidr to purification in this world. In an authentic hadith, when describing how to wash the deceased, the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Wash her three times, or five, or more than that if you see fit, with water and Sidr.” (Bukhari and Muslim)
The Essential Prerequisites Before You Treat Black Magic With Sidr Leaves
Before you treat Sihr with Sidr leave, you have to know and affirm that there is no cure except from Allah. The Sidr leaf is a sabab (a means), like taking medicine. You must believe, without hesitation, that Allah alone is Ash-Shāfī (The Healer). Sidr leaves do not repel jinn by themselves. Water does not break sihr by itself. Healing comes only when Allah commands it to happen.
When a believer strengthens their īmān, the influence of sihr weakens. This is not poetry—it is lived reality witnessed by scholars, ruqyah practitioners, and ordinary Muslims alike. We are commanded to use the means while our hearts are utterly dependent on Allah. Using Sidr is an act of following the Prophetic means, with the absolute certainty that the Healer is Allah alone.
How to prepare the Sidr Leaf Water to treat Sihr
If you want to treat black magic with Sidr leaves or treat sihr with Sidr leaves effectively, this step must be done with calmness, focus, and certainty that Allah will cure you with the means.
Acquiring Pure Sidr Leaves
Begin by obtaining clean, dry Sidr leaves. Fresh or dried is permissible, as long as they are pure and uncontaminated. There is no requirement for exotic sources or special sellers. Do not fall into exaggeration. Just get the real Sidr leaves, either you pick them from the tree or buy them.
Get Seven Sidr Leaves
Use seven Sidr leaves. This is not random. Getting seven Sidr leaves is the recommended number of leaves practiced by the Salaf (predecessors). Our Salaf consistently used seven leaves when they would treat sihr with Sidr leaves.
Crushing the Leaves Gently
Place the leaves between two clean stones, or use a ceramic or wooden mortar. Avoid metal grinders if possible. Crush them gently until they break apart and release their essence.
Adding the Water
Put the crushed Sidr leaves into a container of clean water. The amount should be sufficient for either a full-body ghusl or drinking and bathing combined, depending on one’s need. Water itself is a mercy from Allah. Combined with Sidr and Qur’an recitation, it becomes a means of purification and relief, by Allah’s permission.
Reciting the Ruqyah Verses
Now we arrive at the most important part. Over this Sidr water, recite clearly, audibly, and with conviction. Do not rush. Reflect on what you are saying.
Recite the following Ayatul Ruqyah verses:
- Surah Al-Fātiḥah – the opening of the Qur’an and a complete ruqyah on its own
- Āyat al-Kursī (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:255) – the greatest verse in the Qur’an
- The last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah (2:285–286), protection and divine sufficiency
- Other major verses for black magic or Sihr include Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 102, Surah Al-A’raf, Ayat 106-122, Surah Yunus, Ayat 79-82, Surah Taha, Ayat 65-69, Surah Al-Kafirun (The Disbelievers) – Chapter 109
- The Three Quls:
- Surah Al-Ikhlāṣ
- Surah Al-Falaq
- Surah An-Nās
After completing the recitation, blow gently into the water, as the Prophet ﷺ used to do during night protection dua before sleeping. This is the Qur’anic core of how to treat black magic with Sidr leaves pr treat Sihr with Sidr leaves. Without this recitation, the process is incomplete.
Drinking and Bathing with the Water (Ghusl) To Treat Black Magic or Sihr
You can make an Intention
This is not necessary, but before using the water, you can make an intention in your heart. This is because Intentions transform actions into worship.
“O Allah, I intend this ghusl and drinking as a means to remove the effects of sihr and to seek Your healing alone.”
Begin with Bismillah
Say “Bismillāh” before starting. This simple phrase blocks shayṭān and invites divine assistance.
Follow the Sunnah Sequence of Ghusl
- Wash the private parts first, as in regular ghusl
- Perform wuḍūʾ as you would for prayer
- Then pour the Sidr-infused water over your entire body, starting from the head, ensuring it reaches every part of the skin
If drinking from the water, take small sips with calmness and not haste.
Consistency Is Key
It is highly recommended to perform this treatment following the same procedure for three or seven consecutive days. Scholars and experienced ruqyah practitioners have observed that sihr often weakens gradually, not instantly.
Some scholars also mentioned that just as physical illnesses sometimes require repeated treatment, spiritual illnesses may also need consistency. Patience here is an act of worship.
When done correctly, with belief and perseverance, this method has helped countless Muslims treat sihr with Sidr leaves, not because of the leaves themselves, but because Allah placed healing in obedience, remembrance, and reliance upon Him alone.
Athār from the Salaf Regarding using Sidr to treat Sihr and black magic
Among the early generations (Salaf), reports exist of righteous Muslims using seven Sidr leaves, crushing them, and reciting Qur’anic verses over water for the purpose of combating sihr. These practices were known, transmitted, and never condemned by the scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah.
This is because such treatments fall under permissible ruqyah, as long as three conditions are met:
- It is based on the Qur’an or authentic supplications
- It contains no shirk, talismans, or unknown words
- The heart remains attached to Allah alone
This is why scholars consistently say that it is permissible to treat sihr with Sidr leaves when it is done correctly, Islamically, and without exaggeration. The evidence of this is the saying of our Prophet ﷺ when he said to someone who performed ruqyah…
“Present your ruqyah to me. There is no harm in ruqyah as long as it contains no shirk.” (Sahih Muslim)
Allah Himself says:
“And We send down of the Qur’an that which is a healing and a mercy for the believers.” (Surah Al-Isrāʾ 17:82)
This is why authentic scholars insist that if you want to treat black magic with Sidr leaves, the Sidr must be accompanied by recitation, duʿāʾ, and trust in Allah. Without the Qur’an, Sidr is just a leaf. With the Qur’an, it becomes a means through which Allah brings relief.
Common Mistakes to Avoid When Treating Sihr with Sidr Leaves
My dear brothers and sisters, many people fail to fully benefit from ruqyah not because the method is weak, but because of the mistake of the heart (belief) and invite interference from Shayṭān. If you truly want to treat black magic with Sidr leaves in a way that brings lasting relief, you must guard yourself from these errors. The scholars were firm on this because safety in ruqyah is just as important as effectiveness.
Mixing Islamic Ruqyah with Cultural Rituals
One of the most dangerous mistakes in ruqyah is mixing Qur’anic treatment with cultural or ancestral practices. Some people add candles, special knots, unknown chants, or instructions like “do this at midnight facing a mirror.” This is not Islam. This is opening the door to innovation (bidʿah) and, in some cases, shirk.
Believing Sidr Itself Has Power
Believing that Sidr leaves themselves remove sihr is a great error. Sidr is a means, not a source of power. Healing belongs to Allah alone.
Going to Soothsayers or Fake Healers
This is among the most destructive haram healing methods. Some claim to “confirm” sihr using names, dates of birth, sand readings, or jinn consultations. Others mix ruqyah with talismans and coded writings. The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever goes to a fortune-teller and believes him has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad.” (Ahmad – authentic)
Even if a person recites the Qur’an, the moment they involve jinn, hidden knowledge, or forbidden methods, the treatment collapses spiritually. If you truly seek protection, run away from anyone who claims secret access to the unseen.
Strengthening Your Protection After Healing from Black Magic
My dear brothers and sisters, once Allah grants you relief, the journey is not over. Healing without protection is temporary. The scholars taught us that prevention is part of faith.
Daily Adhkar – Your Spiritual Armor
Morning and evening adhkār are not optional. They are a shield. Make it a habit to recite:
- Āyat al-Kursī
- The Three Quls
- Morning and evening supplications
Those who remain consistent rarely suffer repeated spiritual harm.
Consistency in Salah
Salah is not just worship, it is protection. Allah says:
“Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing.” (Surah Al-ʿAnkabūt 29:45)
Jinn are drawn to spiritual emptiness. When salah is strong, their influence weakens. If you want lasting protection after you treat black magic with Sidr leaves, guard your prayers like your life depends on them because, spiritually, it does.
Avoiding Sins That Invite Jinn Harm
Music obsession, constant anger, immoral content, neglecting remembrance, these are open doors
Take Reciting Quran as a Lifestyle
One of the greatest means of protecting oneself from Sihr and black magic is reciting the Quran. Qur’an in the home. Dhikr on the tongue. Tawakkul in the heart. When you live this way, you are not just reacting to harm, you are protected from it, bi’ithnillāh.
May Allah grant you complete shifāʾ, protect you from all forms of sihr, and make the Qur’an the light of your chest and the strength of your soul.
