Our Prophet Muhammad (May Allah&#8217;s peace and blessings be upon him) warned us about these tactics of Shaytan, who strives to create fear and distance us from remembering Allah.<\/p>\n<p>However, Allah has not left us without guidance or protection. As believers, we are encouraged to seek His refuge and call upon Him for protection as Allah (Subhanahu wa ta&#8217;ala) says in the Quran:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;And if an evil whisper comes to you from Shaytan, then seek refuge in Allah. Indeed, He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.&#8221; (Surah Al-A\u2019raf, 7:200)<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This verse is reminding us that turning to Allah is the ultimate solution for any fear, whether from the devils or it arises from personal struggles or external influences. This practice calms the heart, purifies the mind, and keeps Shaytan far away from you. The Prophet (May Allah&#8217;s peace and blessings be upon him) taught us to avoid distractions, such as excessive entertainment (watching horror movies and the like) or engaging in sinful activities, which can lead to restlessness and unease. Instead, he encouraged believers to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reflect on the blessings of Allah (Subhanahu wa ta&#8217;ala) and express gratitude.<\/li>\n<li>Repent for any mistakes made during the day and seek Allah\u2019s forgiveness.<\/li>\n<li>Keep the mind free from negative or distressing thoughts that may disturb the heart.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Prophet (May Allah&#8217;s peace and blessings be upon him) also advised us to go to bed in a state of wudu (ablution). He said,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Whenever you go to bed perform ablution like that for the prayer, lie or your right side and say\u00a0 (Sahih al-Bukhari, 247)<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This ensures spiritual purity and helps in maintaining a peaceful state of mind.<\/p>\n<p>Combining the Sunnah before sleeping practices with the Dua before sleeping creates a good approach to achieving a peaceful night, that you might not even need to recite this dua for fear during sleep, since you will be having a good sleep by following the Sunnah before sleeping.<\/p>\n<p>We ask Allah to grant us more understanding of the Deen and set right our affairs.
