A night where the gates of mercy are wide open, sins are forgiven, and duas are answered.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">Imagine standing before Allah on this night when duas are accepted, sins are forgiven, and the mercy of Allah descends like never before. This is a golden opportunity that comes once a year, and no Muslim should miss it. This is the recommended Tahajjud Muslims should engage in rather than doing the New Year Festival Night or the Cross-Over Night, which is totally haram (prohibited).<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\" data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_Laylatul_Qadr_and_Why_is_it_So_Special\"><\/span><strong>What is Laylatul Qadr and Why is it So Special?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 2 []\">Laylatul Qadr (Night of decree) is the night in which the Quran was first revealed to Prophet Muhammad (\ufdfa) as guidance for humanity. Allah mentions in Surah Al-Qadr:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Indeed, We sent it [i.e., the Quran] down during the Night of Decree. (Q 97:3-5)<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This night, hidden in the last ten nights of Ramadan, holds unimaginable rewards. It is a time when Allah accepts duas easily, forgives sins, and His mercy descends like never before. Our Prophet \ufdfa taught us the best dua for Laylatul Qadr that we should keep saying in the last ten days of Ramadan. She reported that she asked the Messenger of Allah \ufdfa :\u00a0 <strong>\u201cO Messenger of Allah, if I know which night is Laylatul Qadr, what should I say?\u201d\u00a0He replied:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u201cSay: \u201cO Allah, indeed You are Pardoning, [Generous,] You love pardon, so pardon me (Allahumma innaka \u2018afuwwun tuhibbul \u2018afwa fa\u2019fu \u2018anni).\u201d (Sunan Tirmidhi, 3513)<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_is_this_Dua_special\"><\/span><strong>Why is this Dua special?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The reason is that this dua is centered on seeking Allah&#8217;s forgiveness. This dua directly appeals to Allah\u2019s attribute of being <strong>Al-\u2018Afuww <\/strong>\u2014 the One who pardons and erases sins completely. We are asking Him to forgive and erase our sins. <strong>The question is, after we are cleansed of our sins, what remains?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What remains is Allah&#8217;s mercy and blessings. That&#8217;s why He used to describe Himself as <strong>&#8220;Al-Ghafur Ar Raheem,&#8221;<\/strong> meaning that after He forgives someone, He showers His mercy upon the person and blesses him after that.\u00a0 Another evidence for this is when Prophet Nuh (\u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0647\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0633\u0651\u064e\u0644\u0627\u064e\u0645\u064f) was telling his people to seek Allah&#8217;s forgiveness only for their sins, saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>And said, &#8216;Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers. And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.\u00a0 (Q 71:10-12)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Noah_in_Islam\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Prophet Nuh<\/a> (\u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0647\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0633\u0651\u064e\u0644\u0627\u064e\u0645\u064f) was telling them, after they seek Allah&#8217;s forgiveness and He forgives them, Allah will automatically bless them with abundant rain and give them the wealth they need and children.
