Many are asking, &#8220;Is RMQK part of Islam?, and more importantly, &#8220;What is the Islamic verdict on RMQK?&#8221; These questions are valid and crucial to answer according to Islamic views on it.<\/p>\n<p>This is because this group speaks in the name of Allah or the Prophet \ufdfa, that&#8217;s why we must return to the Quran, the authentic Sunnah, and the understanding of the Salaf al-Salih (righteous predecessors) to assess their validity.<\/p>\n<p>RMQK is a new spiritual movement spreading in Nigeria,\u00a0 claiming to guide Muslims toward inner peace, self-realization, and higher consciousness. The name of the group looks like a Sufi-like, mystical, or enlightenment-based path, one that mixes Islamic terminologies with occult ideologies. But just like Imam Ibn Taymiyyah \u0631\u062d\u0645\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 warned:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1752\" data-end=\"1856\">\n<p data-start=\"1754\" data-end=\"1856\"><strong data-start=\"1754\" data-end=\"1820\">\u201cFalsehood is most dangerous when it wears the robe of truth.\u201d<\/strong><br data-start=\"1820\" data-end=\"1823\" \/><strong>(Majmoo\u2019 al-Fataawa, 3\/232)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/deenminder.com\/blog\/what-is-rmqk-and-who-are-those-doing-rmqk\/\">RMQK<\/a> was founded by Shehu Maruwf Abolade Salahudeen Adagunja (also called Emi Agba, the greatest spirit). The group claims to be a non-religious spiritual enlightenment movement, but primarily attracts Muslims due to its Islamic-sounding terminology.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_are_the_beliefs_of_RMQK\"><\/span><strong>What are the beliefs of RMQK?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"986\" data-end=\"1172\">To understand RMQK beliefs, let\u2019s begin by clarifying the meaning of RMQK. RMQK stands for four names, not the names of Prophets or angels, but jinn. You can read the full details of <a href=\"https:\/\/deenminder.com\/blog\/what-is-rmqk-and-who-are-those-doing-rmqk\/\">RMQK<\/a> here.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1174\" data-end=\"1233\">\n<p data-start=\"1176\" data-end=\"1233\"><strong data-start=\"1176\" data-end=\"1232\">Rukoyailu, Morkotoyailu, Qoikoyailu, and Kashfayailu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1235\" data-end=\"1479\">These are not names you will find in the Qur&#8217;an or Sunnah. Instead, they are chanted and invoked in specific RMQK rituals that include the calling of jinn for assistance, protection, or inner energy alignment. SubhanAllah, what could be more dangerous? Allah warns in the Quran&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1561\" data-end=\"1729\">\n<p data-start=\"1563\" data-end=\"1729\"><strong data-start=\"1563\" data-end=\"1702\">\u201cAnd verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the jinn, but they (the jinn) increased them in sin and transgression.\u201d<\/strong><br data-start=\"1702\" data-end=\"1705\" \/><strong>(Surah Al-Jinn 72:6)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1731\" data-end=\"1937\">To invoke the names of jinn, seek power from them, or base a spiritual system around them is not just misguidance but a major shirk, if accompanied by belief in their independent powers. So, for those wondering, is RMQK part of Islam? Of course, NO. Islam does not tell us to call upon the jinn, nor does it empower them. Islam calls to the Oneness of Allah alone.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2095\" data-end=\"2167\"><strong>Let&#8217;s examine their core beliefs of RMQK<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li data-start=\"2171\" data-end=\"2310\">They promote the idea that each person has a divine light (nur) within that must be activated through meditation and inner awakening.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2313\" data-end=\"2454\">They claim that traditional Islamic knowledge is outdated, and what matters is inner discovery, not performing the regular acts we do as Muslims, like salah or fasting.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2457\" data-end=\"2579\">RMQK teaches that a chosen guide (murshid or enlightened master) is necessary to unlock the hidden truths of the soul.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2582\" data-end=\"2734\">They often discourage the study of the Quran and Hadith, claiming that the real truth lies beyond textual revelation but in visions, dreams, and instincts only.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2582\" data-end=\"2734\">Invocation of Jinns. They chant the four names (RMQK) in rituals, treating them as divine intermediaries.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2582\" data-end=\"2734\">They believe in astrology and numerology. Absolutely not. Imam al-Shafi\u2019i \u0631\u062d\u0645\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 once said:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2818\" data-end=\"3035\">\n<p data-start=\"2820\" data-end=\"3035\"><strong>If you see a man walking on water, do not be amazed by him until he shows that he follows the command of the Book and the Sunnah.<\/strong><br data-start=\"2964\" data-end=\"2967\" \/><strong>(Quoted by Imam al-Dhahabi in Siyar A\u2018laam al-Nubalaa\u2019, 10\/61)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"3037\" data-end=\"3146\">Islam is not a religion of hidden lights and secret codes. It is a clear, preserved deen. Allah says&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"3148\" data-end=\"3316\">\n<p data-start=\"3150\" data-end=\"3316\"><strong data-start=\"3150\" data-end=\"3285\">&#8220;This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as your religion.&#8221;<\/strong><br data-start=\"3285\" data-end=\"3288\" \/><strong>(Surah al-Ma\u2019idah 5:3)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"3150\" data-end=\"3316\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Is_RMQK_a_religion_or_a_cult\"><\/span><strong data-start=\"4245\" data-end=\"4280\">Is RMQK a religion or a cult?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"4282\" data-end=\"4627\">RMQK brands itself as a non-religious sect or group.\u00a0They often tell their followers, \u201cWe\u2019re not practicing religion, we\u2019re practicing reality.\u201d But this is part of the deception. They target Muslims, use Islamic terms when speaking at times, and use Quranic references out of context, creating a mix of spirituality and enchantment designed to lure in the gullible ones. But Allah warns us in the Qur\u2019an..<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"4229\" data-end=\"4434\">\n<p data-start=\"4231\" data-end=\"4434\"><strong data-start=\"4231\" data-end=\"4403\">&#8220;And indeed, the devils do inspire their allies [among men] to dispute with you. And if you were to obey them, indeed, you would be associators [of others with Allah].&#8221;<\/strong><br data-start=\"4403\" data-end=\"4406\" \/><strong>(Surah al-An\u2018am 6:121)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"4629\" data-end=\"4692\">Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan \u062d\u0641\u0638\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 warned in one of his khutbahs:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"4694\" data-end=\"4931\">\n<p data-start=\"4696\" data-end=\"4931\"><strong data-start=\"4696\" data-end=\"4885\">&#8220;The innovators and deceivers of our time do not reject Islam openly. Rather, they reshape it, redefine it, and dilute it\u2014until the people are worshipping desires in the name of Islam.&#8221;<\/strong><br data-start=\"4885\" data-end=\"4888\" \/><strong>(Lecture: \u201cThe Path of the Saved Sect\u201d)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"4933\" data-end=\"5049\">This is precisely how RMQK contradicts Islam. It imitates the garments of faith (Islam), while it&#8217;s the opposite. Our Prophet \ufdfa said&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"616\" data-end=\"740\">\n<p data-start=\"618\" data-end=\"740\"><strong>Whoever introduces into this matter of ours that which is not from it, it is rejected.<\/strong><br data-start=\"706\" data-end=\"709\" \/><strong>(Sahih al-Bukhari &amp; Muslim)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"742\" data-end=\"1013\">The above hadith of our Prophet \ufdfa draws a clear line between truth and falsehood in Islam. This means that no new belief, no matter how spiritual or modern, can be added to Islam without being rejected. This statement alone is enough to expose how RMQK contradicts Islam.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"742\" data-end=\"1013\"><strong>Let&#8217;s analyze the core beliefs of RMQK vs Islam and how RMQK contradicts Islam.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>To really understand how RMQK contradicts Islam, we need to make a clear comparison between them.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1147\" data-end=\"1212\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Pure_tawheed_belief_in_Allah_vs_calling_Jinns_and_relying_on_energy_vibration\"><\/span><strong data-start=\"1154\" data-end=\"1212\">1. Pure tawheed (belief in Allah) vs calling Jinns and relying on energy vibration<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1238\" data-end=\"1316\">Islam begins with tawheed, the belief in the absolute Oneness of Allah. Worship is\u00a0exclusively for Allah without\u00a0intermediaries.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;And your Lord said, \u2018Call upon Me; I will respond to you.\u2019&#8221; (Quran 40:60)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cSay, He is Allah, [Who is] One.\u201d (Surah Al-Ikhlas 112:1)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1386\" data-end=\"1589\">Allah is not a force, not a \u201clight within,\u201d not a shared energy. He is separate from His creation and above the heavens, as taught in the Qur\u2019an, Sunnah, and the understanding of the Sahabah.<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"1591\" data-end=\"1614\"><strong data-start=\"1596\" data-end=\"1614\">RMQK ideology&#8230;<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"1615\" data-end=\"1894\">They invoke Jinns and chant RMQK names as a form of worship. RMQK teaches that every human has a divine energy or light inside them, and through meditations, this divine self can be awakened. They speak of connecting with the higher self and activating spiritual codes, terms borrowed from Eastern enchantment like that of Eckankar.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1896\" data-end=\"2107\">The Islamic verdict on RMQK concerning this aspect is that this belief is <a href=\"https:\/\/deenminder.com\/blog\/the-major-sins-in-islam-to-avoid\/\">major shirk<\/a>. It is a clear contradiction to Tawheed. Is RMQK part of Islam? No. This teaching alone removes it from Islam.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2114\" data-end=\"2197\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Not_believing_in_the_finality_of_Muhammad_%EF%B7%BA_vs_receiving_false_revelations\"><\/span><strong data-start=\"2124\" data-end=\"2197\">2. Not believing in the finality of Muhammad \ufdfa vs receiving false revelations<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2223\" data-end=\"2365\">As Muslims, we believe that Muhammad \ufdfa is the Seal of the Prophets. No new revelation, no new prophet, no new spiritual system is to come after him. Allah says<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2366\" data-end=\"2510\">\n<p data-start=\"2368\" data-end=\"2510\"><strong>\u201cMuhammad is not the father of any of your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets.\u201d (Surah Al-Ahzab 33:40)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h4 data-start=\"2512\" data-end=\"2535\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"RMQK_ideology-2\"><\/span><strong data-start=\"2517\" data-end=\"2535\">RMQK ideology:<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"2536\" data-end=\"2821\">RMQK followers often claim that their leader receives divine insights or new instructions from the spiritual realm.\u201d Some even claim that he has reached a level of spiritual knowledge beyond the Prophet\u2019s \ufdfa Shariah, and that these higher truths should guide mankind today. Another popular claim by these guys is that the RMQK founder is in contact with the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mahdi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mahdi<\/a> or spiritual beings from the unseen.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2939\" data-end=\"3078\">The Islamic verdict on RMQK concerning this aspect is\u00a0<span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">that revelation<\/span>\u00a0or hidden knowledge after the Prophet \ufdfa is kufr.
