Hadith on Tawaf: Reference (English):
Ibn Abbas reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Circling around the House is similar to prayer, except that you speak during it. Whoever speaks during it, let him speak nothing but goodness.”
(Sunan al-Tirmidhi 960) authentic according to Al-Albani
Hadith on Tawaf: Reference (Arabic):
عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الطَّوَافُ حَوْلَ الْبَيْتِ مِثْلُ الصَّلَاةِ إِلَّا أَنَّكُمْ تَتَكَلَّمُونَ فِيهِ فَمَنْ تَكَلَّمَ فِيهِ فَلَا يَتَكَلَّمَنَّ إِلَّا بِخَيْرٍ
