We going to learn five hadiths on the virtues of the Quran today. We implore every one of us to strive in seeking knowledge about the recitation of the Quran bit by bit, understanding it, and putting it into practice. The prophet made us to know that the best of people learn and teach the Quran.
Uthman bin Affan reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.” (Sahih Bukhari)
We ask Allah to give us beneficial knowledge.
Hadith 1 on Virtues of the Quran: It will intercede for those who read it
Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) say: “Read the Qur’an, as it will come as an intercessor for its companions on the Day of Resurrection.”
Sahih Muslim
Hadith 2 on Virtues of the Quran: It scares Satan away
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“Do not turn your houses into graves. Indeed, Satan runs away from the house in which Surat al-Baqarah is recited.”Sahih Muslim
Hadith 3 on Virtues of the Quran: Highly rewarding while reading it
Abdullah ibn Mas‘ud (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said
“Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah will be credited with a good deed for it, and a good deed is multiplied tenfold. I am not saying that ‘Alif-Lām-Mīm’ is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lām is a letter, and Mīm is a letter.
Tirmidhi

Abu Ad-Dardā’ (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“Whoever memorizes ten of the first verses of Sūrat al-Kahf will be guarded against the Anti-Christ.” In another version: “From the concluding verses of Sūrat al-Kahf”
Sahih Muslim
Hadith 5 on Virtues of the Quran: Means of being with the Angels
A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“The one who recites the Qur’an skillfully will be in the company of the noble and righteous messenger-angels and the one who reads the Qur’an, but stutters and finds it difficult, receives a double reward”
