Assalaam alaikum brothers and sisters in Islam, as we all know that wealth is one of the most sought-after blessings in life and we know also that Allah is the one that gives wealth to whom He wants. The question now is that “Is there a specific dua for wealth” in the Quran or sunnah that we can use to seek or call on Allah for wealth? Absolutely No, there’s no specific dua for wealth. What’s the solution now?

Worry less, we are going to teach some recommended dua for wealth from the Quran and sunnah that is perfect for asking for wealth and sustenance, and even for asking for an increase in our wealth in shaa Allah.

When you are praying for wealth as a Muslim, you should have it in mind that the word “Riqz or Wealth” in Islam is so much more than material possessions only. It’s an all-encompassing term for every blessing Allah bestows upon us. This includes wealth, health, family, knowledge, spiritual peace, and even the unseen barakah (blessings) that make everything in our lives more meaningful and abundant.

The Role of Duas In Asking For Wealth And Sustenance

Allah the ultimate provider has gifted us a powerful tool which is Dua to call unto Him anytime and He will always answer us as He promised us. And when we are making the dua for wealth or any other prayer, there are some things we should have in mind along the Dua which is Tawakul (having total trust in Allah) and being conscious and mindful of Him.

When these heartfelt supplications are paired with righteous actions and trust in Allah, they can transform not only our financial situation but our entire affairs to the very best. Allah says:

“And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out and will provide for him from where he does not expect.” (Quran 65:2-3)

Dua for wealth

This is Allah’s promise to those who place their trust in Him. But here’s the catch—it’s not just about sitting back and waiting. You have to work, pray and rely on Allah as our prophet stated that:

Strive for whatever brings you benefit, seek the help of Allah and do not feel helpless.  [Sahih Muslim – 2664]

You will work by using all your means like power, money, materials, and others, then you pray for Allah’s blessing and entrust your affairs to Him. Once you are able to do this, Allah has already said He will make a way for whoever is mindful of Him and entrust his affairs unto Him alone. Our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) also gave us a clear picture of reliance on Allah. He said:

“If you were to rely upon Allah with the reliance He is due, you would be given provision like the birds. They go out in the morning with empty stomachs and return full in the evening.” (Tirmidhi)

Birds don’t sit idle; they actively seek their sustenance without knowing where they will find it specifically but they have full trust in Allah. By the time they will return, you will find them fully satisfied. Fearing Allah by staying within the boundaries of what is halal and avoiding haram, relying on Him and making dua for wealth and blessings can be a means of achieving this goal. Let’s learn the recommended dua for wealth..
