Islam teaches us that dua (supplication) is a believer’s strongest weapon. The Prophet ﷺ showed us how to seek protection for our children through specific Quranic verses, prophetic invocations, and daily adhkar. So if you are looking for the recommended dua to protect your children from all sorts of harm, you are already reading the right article, but just make sure you finish reading it.

As parents, we should all know that our children are not safe from spiritual attack or harm from any person or Jinn. If there’s anything more precious than wealth, it is our children. Yet in Islam, children are an Amanah, a trust from Allah. A trust so weighty that it will be asked about on the Day of Judgment. Our Prophet ﷺ said..

Beware. every one of you is a shepherd and every one is answerable with regard to his flock. (Sahih Muslim, 1829 a)

And among the most critical responsibilities in this trust is their protection, both physical and spiritual. Their bodies may be safe by good monitoring, but how will you protect them from the envy of the jealous, the whispering of shayṭān, or the unseen touch of the jinn? Use them often. Make them part of your child’s daily rhythm. Recite them along with them and rub the small ones that can’t do it personally by themselves with the protection verses before sleeping. This is highky recommended because the one who turns to Allah to protect his child has placed that child in the strongest hands possible.

And whoever relies upon Allah, then He is sufficient for him.  (Surah At-Talaq 65:3)

May Allah protect our children with His perfect words, guard them from all harm, and make them among the righteous. We ask Allah to make them among those who call upon Him with sincerity, live by the Sunnah, and lead the Ummah with Eeman. Aameen.
